From the Rifugio Malga Conseria you proceed to the Malga Val Cion forest road, passing through the Cinque Croci Pass, which offers a splendid panorama over the granite group of Cima d'Asta and the Lagorai chain.
The trail then descends until the Malga Val Ciotta and traverses the Vanoi torrent and then climbs to the Coppolà Pass. The path then goes down to Malga Coppolà di Sopra and Malga Coppolà di Sotto, and then turns towards the Malga Laghetti and Sadole Pass.

From here follow an easy mule track which winds through the remains of the First World War trenches, and then you rapidly descend into the Sadole Valley, where you will find a refuge and a shepherd hut which can provide you with food (6c). Then leave the dirt road which descends towards Ziano di Fiemme and take the path that leads to the hamlet of Bosin and then the valley floor in Roda, where you will find the stopover point of Johnson Ranch.
