Chiesetta di San Silvestro

The small Church of San Silvestro is the first building visible at the entrance of the Schenèr Valley. The inhabitants of the Vanoi used to climb to the Church to ask the Saint for sun, particularly when it rained ceaselessly and ruined the crops. Legend tells that the Primiero inhabitants wanted to build it lower down, but the stones that had been prepared were mysteriously transported above the crag, until the small sanctuary was actually built there
