| V3 - Malga Galmarara - Altopiano della Marcesina |
|
From Malga Galmarara take the military road which climbs slightly to Zingarella Dairy, from here to a certain point continue along the dirt road towards the ex-Malga Busette where, between hills and sinkholes, you should take one of the many military paths that lead to Fontana di Bosco Secco. Continuing on you will find the Terre More shelter (2-person camp). Then cross the Mecenseffy Strasse ancient military road which has been asphalted and takes you through some of the most note areas of the Ortigara (Piazza delle Saline, Scogli dell'Alpofin).
From here, after having left the carriage road for Malga Fossetta, an interesting detour to visit the famous Castelloni di S. Marco, continue along the road which leads down to the Rifugio Barricata (which provides accommodation and meals) and the Malga Campocapra (stabling of horses). The place can be reached with a trailer from the Marcesina Plateau, from the direction of Enego, or Asiago. Here you can see the ancient boundary stones from 1745 which marked the boundary between the Tyrol and the Republic of Venice.
