From Giaroni descend until you reach the pebbly riverbank of the Vanoi, and after having forded the river, continue towards Canal San Bovo. Once you have crossed the village, take the path which climbs to the hamlets of Prade and Zortea, enter the Lozen Valley and you will reach the shepherd hut of the same name and Lake Calaita . By traversing the pastures alongside the lake you will arrive at a path which descends rapidly to the forest road, which you then take for San Martino di Castrozza, passing by the Malga Crel.

As soon as you arrive at the built up area, turn for Malga Fratazza and follow the path through the Fontanelle pastures and then take the path that leads to Val Canali keeping above the wood. When you arrive in Val Canali take the forest road down towards Transacqua via Villa Welsperg, home of the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park. Once you reach the village follow the Canali stream and, climbing slightly, you arrive at Navoi where you will find the Allevamento Lunapiena Stopover Point.
